Artist Statement:
I view my role as an artist to explore and share my experiences of the world. I aim to one day be able to look at myself and the world around me with brutal honesty both the everyday the extraordinary. At the present time I'm looking to create works concerning the media’s grip on western society and my personal responses to what I think are the effects the sexual revolution has had on us from a post-feminist perspective. Other works would concern depression and self image, self portraits, mediations/spirituality without religion, and social commentary. I like to use symbolism and vibrant colour. Other artists I like are: Gustav klimt, Frida Kahlo, Tracey Emin, Egon Shiele, Philip Guston....
