| Your Personal Biography |
The work of Glen Rogers ranges from prints, drawings, and paintings to
public art. Her work has exhibited internationally in museums and galleries in the U.S., Mexico, Australia, Belgium, Singapore, Brazil, Japan, Germany, Korea, and France including the San Jose Museum of Art, Triton Museum of Art, Singapore National Museum of Art, and the Mazatlan Museum of Art. Most recently her work was part of an international traveling exhibition, Presence in Nature, in Mexico and Australia. A catalogue accompanied the exhibition.
Her public art installations include, “Three Wings” in Stockton,
California, “Meditation Bench” for Groesbeck Hill Park in San Jose, CA and “Beacon” for the City of Campbell, CA. In addition to her individual public sculpture, she has collaborated on more than 20 Art & Architecture projects in San Francisco Bay Area schools.
Rogers has had artist residencies at the Helene Wurlitzer Foundation in
Taos, New Mexico, Villa Montalvo Center for the Arts in Saratoga, California and KALA Institute, Berkeley, California. In 1998 she was given the San Jose Institute of Contemporary Art’s first Visual Arts Award. Rogers’ work has been featured in ¬¬¬¬The Best of Printmaking, an International Collection, Artweek, and Sunset Magazine.
Rogers earned an MFA from San Jose State University, MA from San Francisco State, and a BA from the University of Florida. Originally from Mississippi, Rogers lived in the San Francisco Bay area for 25 years before relocating to Mazatlan, Mexico.
