Artist Statement:
In my work, I use under
painting to portray mood and
emotion. I find truth and
beauty in the incomplete. The
hand, as it is part of my
name, has become a signature
of sorts in most pieces.
I believe that my mission is
to coax people into looking at
ordinary subjects from a
totally different angle – to
see the human condition with
all its imperfections and
variables. If I can challenge
the mind of the viewer; if I
can get them to question the
absence or presence of logical
composition or what is
normally perceived as perfect,
I consider that particular
work a success....
