Chris MacClure was born on the
east coast of Canada. His
father a jazz musician, and
his mother a
playwrite,fostered an early
interest in the arts. His art
education was enhanced with
schooling at both Concordia
University in Montreal Canada
and the Emily Carr Art School
in Vancouver Canada.
The Ford Motor Co. of Detroit
has for the first time
liscensed an artist to publish
Limited Edition art pieces.
This series created by Chris
is officially titled "The Ford
Collection" Chris's art has
found its way into numerous
collections throughtout the
world such as those of, Bill
Clinton, Boris Yeltsin Moscow,
John Travolta, Kirstie Alley,
Jay Leno, Pepsico New York and
the Ford Motor Co. Detroit.

Chris MacClure International Canadian Artist
Fascinated by the subtleties of nature, Chris's paintings are an expression of his romantic view of life and reflects the environment he is in. From scenes of the famous Hotel California, in Todos Santos, Cabo Wabo Cantina ,Cabo San Lucas, Baja, a monk arranging flowers in a monastery in Hong Kong, a classical pianist or a vintage clothing shop, Chris's engaging style is evident in his perfected usage of the illusive color changes and natural compositions. Using landscapes as a language, Chris incorporates imagery and symbolism to his art to reflect his own unique expression.
Born into an artistic family on the east coast of Canada, Chris was surrounded by the arts from a young age. His father was a jazz musician and mother a playwright, His grandfather was an illustrator, so it never occured to him that he couldn't do it. He assumed everyone was an artist.
This sense of inner confidence has taken Chris to places and studios around the world for more than 40 years, offering him a wide range of opportunities to hone his skills and mediums. During his travels he attended Sir George University Fine Arts in Montreal Canada and the Emily Carr School of Art & Design in Vancouver Canada. His works have been exhibited across Canada, the US, Mexico and Hong Kong. Numerous paintings of his may be found in many corporate collections worldwide. Some collectors include,� John Travolta, Kirstie Alley, James Whitmore,� mezzo soprano Frederica Von Stade, drag racing legend Don Prud'Homme , Bill Clinton, Boris Yeltsin, Pepsi Co. and the Ford Motor Co. of Detroit who had for the first time licensed an artist to publish limited edition art pieces. This set by Chris was officially titled 'The Ford Collection' and is in their World Catalog as a collectible item.
Over the years Chris has run a few co-op gallery/studios as well as a two year� art fund raiser , probably the largest in Vancouver , British Columbia Canada for the�� 'Child Foundation'� with Hon. Grace Mc Carthy

Chris spends his time at his Los Cabos , Cabo�San Lucas, �Baja, Mexico studio for some of the� winter months and and at his� White Rock� B.C. Canada� studio in the summer when not on tour. He is also a member of� 'The SouthernLights Artists Group' who exhibit in the resorts throughout Los Cabos.
