Born in Montpellier in 1972, Jean Mehdi Grangeon grew up in the south of France. He discovered for the first time the painting of great artists such as Picasso, Matisse, Chagal and Leger in museums and private art foundations around Cannes and Antibes. After graduating from the University of Science in Marseille, he chose to devote all his time to study painting.
He quickly discovered the power of Renaissance art and began to develop his own style mixing the influences of painters like Piero della Francesca, Bellini and Ucello with modern art references like De Chirico, Millares or Muybridge.

He spent one year in Paris where he participated in the Salon d’Automne 2002 and became a finalist in the
