Artist Statement:
My artistic portfolio covers a
wide range of subject matter
from craggy mountain peaks and
peaceful water-gardens to
rustic Americana. I've been
painting since I was five. I
don't have one specific
interest, but rather several.
I enjoy the natural elements
of design found in all living
things using watercolor,
acrylics, watercolor pencil
and collage, and I try and
bring those natural elements
into the room using a variety
of 3-dimensional techniques.
I've always been fascinated
with nature's textures. The
contrast between light and
dark becomes ever more
striking on heavily textured
surfaces like stone as day
progresses into night. A
pebble can delight, a mountain
can inspire. To capture
nature's visual power and
share it is part of the joy I
get in producing artwork....
