The work of Gromyko exists in a nether world between nightmare and vision between the mystical works of allegory and narrative of the middle ages and the gripping and profound works of the most contemporary of artists today. He has fused his respect even reverence for the greater thread of art history with his own deeply personal soul searching and social commentary and the results are nothing more than stunning. As profound as he is prolific he draws from his seemingly endless inner energy to create simple raw works that crawl and seethe off the paper they wrestle with and detailed, thoughtful pieces of rich hues and thoughtful rendering that evoke the old master of which he is so enamored.
Gromyko Padilla Semper is destined for greatness as he is unafraid to pour every drop of himself into his passion to create and the courage and zeal seem to will him into the very current of art history from which he so oft taps. Gromyko is varied and brave in his choice of subjects as he is in his wide range use of media, from charcoal to computer images, and from photos into rich paintings. Nothing is out of reach of his personal scope.
It is my belief that Gromyko will prove as one of the greatest of his generation if nothing more than through his own tireless hard work and diligent and constant desire to create.
