A Meta-View.../ short description

Stefan Hegel was born 1971 in Wuppertal/Germany.

The interest in illustration and unliteral exposition have its origin at the end of the 90´s
Impressed by the possibility to express himselfs by artwork paintings on the one hand, on the other by the possibility to enhance the quality of his own living
environment with art elements and the sensed quality of life.

The works of art arise out of different, moodier motivation of the artist.
Therefore they come up in one in the moment changing, not fixed technique.
The colours once worked up with a palette-knife, once with brushes or other implements. In one or more layers, witch fractional shows a fine deep structure, the colours were levigated till they are completely dry, but for the most part its like a wet to wet treatment.

Colours and abstract forms play in non-objective painting still the leading part.
(Occasionally in form of meta-landscapes. Some of the works are coming up against the background of the main topic ‘World in my eyes’).
Hegel has chosen an approach with rather practical character to fit the seasonable habitat (its not quite my style and aspiration to have a framed roaring animal hanging on the wall – neither may it be photorealistic).
For the artist Hegel, colours and forms are the birth of visual influence of sense and an option for temporarily escape from the presence into a world of pleasureable thoughts and sentiments.
