Heike Strobel
Being born in Germany and
growing up in Spain
I never stopped to explore the
world.
As a flight attendent and
frequent traveler
I had the opportunity to take
art classes not only
in Germany but in Thailand,
China, US
and Argentina as well.
Nevertheless it took me 23
years to get the
courage to do what I always
liked to do : to paint.
After moving to the Florida
Keys in 1999
I finally put my lifelong
dream into reality :
being a full time artist.
In 2004 I moved to Santa
Fe/New Mexico
and here I found my ultimate
paradise.
My inspiration starts with
streching the canvas.
My mood determines the colors
I will work with
much more than the idea I have
in mind what to paint.
I don't limit myself working
with brushes and knifes,
whatever is within my reach is
been used
as a tool to create my work.
