The human figure is one of the most enduring themes in the visual arts and is arguably the most difficult subject an artist commonly encounters. I have always been fascinated with the human form and the rich and varied landscape it offers us. It is a theme that I have repeatedly explored within my artwork across the years and continue to come back to. Figure drawing can be done very simply, as in gesture pencil drawing, or in more detail, using pastel and charcoal or other drawing tools. In developing my life drawings further I have used painting and graphics techniques....
