Statement
About Carlos Pardo:
He starts painting in 1998, always ready to learn and investigate new fields and new techniques of graphic expression. He currently uses oil painting, though part of his work is based on a mixed technique, tempera, acrylic on cardboard, wood or canvas.
In his imaginary urban landscapes there are overlaid elements of towns he has visited, some imagined, and maybe dreamed, but all with a unique feminine soul.
The Town is a mother, lover, or daughter of the actions, dreams and passions of those who dwell in them or recall them in the distance. It is an idea in which wander those who have been caught up in its infinite labyrinth.
“In my opinion, Arts are an essentially human activity –therefore it can hardly be fissionable from thoughts and feelings, from our own life”.
The author proposes a trip through the Town, seen from the traveller’s point of view, through his own experiences, recollections and dreams. “I invite you to walk through the roads of this town, always unreal and often so close to us, so that you can bring to it your own view – the most important element. Transcend the limits of what is evident, help to build it, even though you only know that you have been here and have felt it.
New works will see the light, born out of other journeys and experiences.
Carlos Pardo’s works are present in private collections both in Spain and abroad: Malta, Belgium, France, the States, or Argentina.

The author proposes a trip through The City seen from the traveller’s subjective point of view, through his experience, memories and fancies.
We walk in new cities, in old streets, without a direction, among strangers. We discover Yesterday and their Today, guess their eagerness, dreams, frustrations... We adapt our pace to their pace, at the same rythm as their lives, going and coming anywhere, immersed in the idea of giving a pulse to the arteries, squares, gardens and avenues in The Big City, everyone's city, the old city, the one we bear inside.

El autor propone un viaje por la Ciudad desde la perspectiva subjetiva del viajero,a través de sus experiencias, recuerdos y ensoñaciones.
Caminamos por ciudades nuevas, por calles viejas, sin rumbo entre la gente desconocida. Vamos descubriendo el Ayer y su Hoy, adivinando sus anhelos, ilusiones, frustraciones...Acompasamos nuestros pasos a los suyos, tomando el ritmo de sus vidas, idas y venidas a cualquier parte , inmersos en la anónima tarea de dar pulso a las arterias, plazas, jardines y avenidas de la Ciudad Grande, la ciudad de todos , la ciudad de siempre, la que llevamos dentro.
