Without question: silent film inspires me. The emotions the early film actors were able to convey, captivating audiences with the arch of a brow, a quiver of the lip, a sigh - WOW! To evoke such emotion, sans sound, inspires me to silently captivate my audience through my art. |

| Why Did You Become An Artist |
My name is Susan Goulet and I have been an artist for over 30 years. I have a strong background in film history and am fascinated and inspired by early twentieth century film, art and fashion. My main objective is to keep the past alive via my artwork. Most recently, my work was chosen to grace the cover of Mem Mehmet's 2007 cofee-table book, DIANA IN ART. Additionally, my celebrity portraits are featured in Roger Taylor's 2006 coffee-table book, MARILYN IN ART, as well as the liner notes of a 2005 Rudolph Valentino tribute CD produced by three-time Grammy-Award-winner, Phil York. I have sold over 1000 pieces worldwide via eBay, commissions and private galleries, and my work can be found in several specialty shops throughout the USA. My celebrity portraits, original caricatures and acrylic paintings have been collected by renowned Hollywood collectors and historians, with several pieces commissioned for display at a popular comedy club. Blending my love of films and my passion for art is the most incredible experience for me!
