| Your Personal Biography |
Hooshang is an internationally exhibited artist who maintains working studios in Ruston, LA, and Orange County, CA. His background includes a BFA in painting, plus 12 years as a graphic designer and an award-winning illustrator. He has worked as a self-employed artist in America and Spain since 1984. His paintings are displayed in private collections in England, in Spain, in Belgium and across the United States as well as in corporate collections of Club Mirafloras (Spain), Holiday Inn, Regions Bank, Federal Home Loan Bank, Stevens Inc. and others.
This award-winning artist has been featured in exhibits, represented by galleries and associated with museums throughout the country. For example, he was spotlighted in a solo exhibition in 2006 at Church Street Gallery of Rockport, TX; in 2003 and 2007 at Taylor's Contemporanea Fine Arts in Hot Springs, AR; in 2000 at the Keathley University Center Gallery at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro; and in 1999 at the University Center Art Gallery at Louisiana State University-Shreveport.
Gallery affiliations have included The Cottage Gallery in Laguna Beach, CA; Phoenix Gallery in Topeka, KS; Tamarack Gallery in Naples, FL; Wade Gallery of Fine Art in San Antonio, TX; and more.
His work has also been shown at such museums as the Yellowstone Art Museum in Billings, MT; Museum of Science & Industry in Tampa, FL; Fort Collins (CO) Museum; Ormond Memorial Art Museum in Ormond Beach, FL; Sullivan County Museum in Woodbourne, NY; Rawls Museum Arts in Courtland, VA; Attleboro (MA) Arts Museum; Highlands Museum of the Arts in Sebring, FL; Andrews (NC) Art; Alexandria (LA) Museum of Art; Masur Museum in Monroe, LA; and Louisiana State Museum in Baton Rouge.
Hooshang has won Best of Show and Best of Category at various events throughout the country. His work was chosen for the show poster and postcard at the Historic Shaw Art Festival in St. Louis, MO, in 1999.
