| Biggest Artistic Inspiration |
The sublime profanity of intellectual artistic persuits by artists in the 1990's. The magnetism of Renaissance artists like Da Vinci, del Sato and Titian. The multifacited conundrum of Surrealist's "chance encounter of a sewing machine and an umbrella upon an operating table". The endlessness of Nature and the power of the Gods. The revulsion from current pockets of social philistinism and the unwavering belief by some that technology is the answer to all of life's questions. |

| Why Did You Become An Artist |
I was always drawn to art galleries and museums as a child. I see art as a spiritual quest into the culture of the Living Collective Being - a soul shared by all Horses, Equus. Equus is constantly in contest with a malicious entity, the Tyrannt, the technological evil manifest in humanity. Bodevi, the benevolent aspect of humanity is alied to Equus. A pagan concept of Nature as evident in the various forms of gods and godesses is also an ally. I ascribe to a Helenic pantheon of gods but belive in tolerance and acceptance of other cultures and beliefs.
My grandmother was an artist and painted all of her life, in a modernist and figurative form. I share a visual creative tallent with my two sisters, Jessica Hromas who works for the Australian Financial Review Magazine as photography editor and my youngest sister, Genevieve Hromas, who runs, in partnership, a sucessful interior design studio in central Sydney, Imperial Nesting. |

| Your Personal Biography |
I was born in 1973. I grew up with three sisters. Together with my parents, we travelled extensively through Europe and to a lesser extent, the US whilst a child. I think visiting museums like the Louvre, Centre Pompidou, MoMA and the TATE Gallery, together with my alternitive education until my final year of high school fostered a facination with art. Visiting Pagan burial sites in Ireland as a boy left an indelible impression on me. At age 16, I read the play 'Equus' by Peter Shaffer and was convinced that the spiritual life of Horses should be the main subject for my art. My passion for the French Surrealist movement led me to participate in a student exchange program to the Ecole Nationale Superiure des Beaux-Arts in Paris, which, was a thoroughly enjoyable experience, until I fell ill... |
