Thank you!
In my paintings I work towards a fusion of traditional and experimental as well as realistic and abstract approaches to creating an environment, where the familiar dissolves into landscapes of a physical or an emotional nature.

In my most recent paintings series I have expressed my desire to capture some of the radiant ocean mysticism these places convey.
Iana Sophia's art pulsates between the seen and envisioned, the figurative and abstract. Inspired by a mystical sensitivity and an appreciation of nature, these paintings draw the viewer into a place of contemplation, where the secrets of the work begin to unfold.
Iana Sophia is a painter in oil and watercolor, originally from the Czech Republic, she has been creating and showing her work in small, independent local venues in the Boston Metro area. Previously Iana worked in Prague, Vienna, Salzburg and Zurich...
