| Biggest Artistic Inspiration |
At the moment getting through my Honours studies around my family commitments is my focus. I don't know what the future holds and prefer not to box myself into anything. What I do know though is that I believe that art has the power to transform lives I want my art to impact people on a spiritual level. |

| Why Did You Become An Artist |
As a child I did a lot of drawing and wanted to have a go at painting. I did that when I was 16 and have not turned back. My art is part of who I am as a person and this is reflected in the images and art works that I produce. |

| Your Personal Biography |
I was born in Vienna Austria in 1969 and migrated from former Yugoslavia to Australia with my parents in 1971. As a child I had a great interest in music and so learned classical piano for about 10 years completing Grade 5 level. At 16 years of age I gave up piano and began painting with Rosemary Todman-Parrant who taught me the Meldrum School method of Impressionism. I stayed with Rosemary for about 11 years but had to stop attending classes because of financial committments.
After graduating VCE High School in 1987 I entered into the work force as I didn't get into the university degree that I had chosen (Kindergarten teaching). I was married at 21 and now have four beautiful boys. I started thinking about going to university to study fine arts in 1999, but only applied in 2000 and so in 2001 I started my Bachelor of Contemporary Arts majoring in Visual Arts at Deakin University in Melbourne. Now I am nearing the end of my Honours studies and will be having my first solo exhibition in a gallery in Melbourne. My thesis is about the Spiritual in Art and its embodiment in painting and the title of my exhibition is 'Light Chasing!' |
