Born in France, Jackie Thiaudiere now lives and works in Montreal, Canada.
Fascinated by the texture and properties of fibre, and working with canvas and hand-made paper, she developed her unique painterly approach, taking a particular interest in color, Her exhibitions from 1990-2007 carry the mark of a colorist's work, featuring abstract works that combine an interest in materials and relief and that call forth elementary evocations of water, fire, earth and sky. |
