Artist Statement for Jane Linders

My current passion is an alternative photographic technique called Polaroid transfers. I have become a devotee of the transfer process because I like the soft focus, painterly qualities of the images. I think the major strength of the polaroid process is that it is fast art. One transfer only takes about five minutes from start to finish. I have a short attention span, so I like to view my art right away.
I am happy to announce that one of my photos has been accepted to be exhibited in the Smithsonian Museum for the month of July 2007. You can view more of my photography by visiting my website at http://www.freewebs.com/janelinders
