Artist Statement:
My work is diversified and without just one look. Depending on the message and mood when I create, the styles will change. I work with all sizes and in a variety of media. My work encompasses both detail, realism and abstraction. I may do detail pencil work, portraits, landscapes, stilllifes, spiritual expressionism. Ususally painting, I also create three-diemsnional work and also paint furniture. I do a little bit of a lot of things. I work from realism to abstract expressionism. I like variety, so my work reflects that. I like a challange and will try something new with a sense of discovery maybe to never do that type art again. But the mainstay of art media for me are oil paints. Murals are done in acrylic. Variety is the spice of life. ...

art since forever. drawing since three. painting developed in school. graduate degree. teaching degree and national board certified to teach art grades 7-12. have done many things related to art--created THE CREATIVE CHILD video series shown on MS Educational TV, started the art department at Terry High School, received a federal grant from National Endowment for the Arts to bethe artist in residence for the federal prison in Yazoo City, MS--many other city and state grants...now doing art full time, teaching at Mississippi College in Clinton, MS, part- time.
