| Why Did You Become An Artist |
I started drawing when I was a child, at school, at home because I liked it very much. Later at school I had painting lessons and I always got high marks for using my fantasy.
It improved as a hobby.
For me a painting should be more than a beautiful picture with nice colors, it should show something interesting, fantasy and have a signature from the painter what is called his/her special style.
When I start making a new painting, I choose an object or a subject what is a challenge for me to paint, for instance it can be every-day things combined with blow-up details from other subjects that makes it surrealistic. I like this kind of painting because the results always are new and unpredictable.When I have finished it than I feel surprised because I could do it as I had in mind before. |

1982-1985: Schilderlessen bij Ars Amulae te Leiden (gemengde technieken, daarnaast beeldhouwen en keramiek).
1985-1989: Schilderlessen bij Artibus te Utrecht (aquarel, portret en model).
1985-heden: Schilderlessen in partikulier groepsverband (acryl en olieverf).
1987: Winnaar van de Artibus Publieksprijs.
1996-heden: Regelmatige expositie op diverse lokaties o.a.:
1998: Groeps expositie in het Diakonessenhuis te Utrecht.
2000: Expositie in Kunst centrum "Lange Voort" te Oegstgeest.
2002: Expositie in Hotel Mitland te Utrecht.
2003: Expositie in de Gemeentebibliotheek te Utrecht.
2005: Expositie in Galerie J Johanneshove te Laren.
2006: Galerie en beeldentuin de Tienhof. Tienhoven.
