Neo-Expressionism painting is a vehicle which lets me express my creative endeavors. My journey through life has awarded me a bounty of images, emotions and memories from which to choose. I approach my work much as I do life, head on, aggressively and straight forward. There is a deep personal element in my work. The subject matter typically is an emotional reconnection I have with a specific memory or experience. Typically, my work deals with family, love/ loss, emotions, adoption and the human life experience. These themes tend to resonate with viewers allowing them to attach themselves to my work based on similar experiences they have had. After all, who hasn’t had a broken heart or been pressured by the robotic, sand paper like reality of our world. But most importantly I relay the human experience. I paint a life. I paint pages from a story crying to be told. My work examines human drama, life... |
