| Your Personal Biography |
Johnathan Harris was born in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, in 1975 and has had numerous solo and group exhibitions in Fayetteville, Arkansas (2000), Santa Fe, New Mexico (2003-2008) and Memphis, Tennessee (2007&2008).
He is an increasingly acclaimed contemporary artist producing mainly contemporary landscape paintings and working in USA. He is widely known for his highly individual acrylics inspired primarily by the landscapes around the states of New Mexico, Colorado, Arizona, Wyoming and Montana. In 2009, Johnathan Harris will be releasing a new body of work focusing on European landscapes, such as the English countryside, Tuscany and the south of France. While most of his landscapes emphasize the natural vibrancy and rich colors of the area, some are infused with a tranquil and mysterious beauty.
In 2008, Johnathan Harris began painting abstract works of art, the first series of which were immediately acquired by collectors. While most of these paintings express emotions using intense and complex color combinations, several are inspired by the natural world using a softer, more serene palette. |
