| Biggest Artistic Inspiration |
There are Two big artistic inspirations in my life:
1. I got praise from everyone at a family gathering when at 7 years old I drew stick figures in action. Stick figures have evolved to human forms, roses, and landscapes.
2. The Movie Great Expectations. It woke me up from the art slumber i had been suffering for a few years. |

| Why Did You Become An Artist |
Why am I an artist? Although I am creating artwork to be submitted to galleries, dealers, and buyers alike, I am an artist because I want to interpret our surroundings with a visual awakening. My mission is for everyone to visually enjoy an original painting that will strike a chord in their persona. I portray the vision of our world with a simple technical interpretation, yet a robust and liberal emotional barrage of colors, lines and strokes. Everyone understands shapes and lines with a stroke of a brush or a strike of a pen on paper. The personification of those colors and lines is what I have to offer. I also want to give you a finished product that will be to your full and complete satisfaction. All works once completed are protected with a coat of varnish so that the paintings will not be damaged by dust, dirt, or light ...

| Your Personal Biography |
Born in Santiago, Chile in 1970, I began to draw with a purpose at the early age of 10. My storyboards that were simple stick figures amused my family and friends alike. As time passed, I moved away from the pencil and proceeded to perfect the art of using a brush and paints. I was always weary that I could not throw a stroke of a brush like a baseball player swings a bat. But with practice and learning technique I have been able to make a figure with a brush as easily as I used to do those stick figures. I have been painting pictures for over 13 years, and I have been drawing all my life...
Artistry, painting, and sculpures has been an active part of my family. My uncle Arnold Guzman was an active artist in the L.A. scene in the late '60's, throughout the '70's, and in the early 80's. His son, Chester Guzman currently works and exhibits sculptures in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. All of the techniques that I have learned throughout the years I learned from both my brothers Fernando Wolf and Frank Wolf, although Fernando was the one that gave me a more detailed instruction on theory. Fernando is a licensed architect and exhibits works in New Mexico...
From 1996 through 2003 I made a series of works under the pseudonym of "Jean Loup". This name, which is my name in French, felt easy and comfortable to sign with a brush. However, so as to not create confusion, I decided to continue to sign my artwork with my orginal name. The works under the "Jean Loup" pseudonym have been included in this site for you to view... |
