Joseph Wong's Artist Portfolio
Welcome to Joseph Wong's Portfolio. My work reflects a commitment to preserving the characteristic heritage views of our vanishing countryside. My passion has led me to work very hard to master the discipline required to produce etchings, such plates requiring many weeks to complete. The many years of study and effort applied to learning my craft of etching have also been applied to painting. I spent six years depicting the changing images of villages in Hong Kong before moving to Canada with my family. Since 1989, I have been sketching and painting scenes in Richmond and Delta, B.C. with the same intention. I treasure the historical architectural images of a culture fast succumbing to the onslaught of modernization and redevelopment. Through my work, I pay homage to the people who created these structures.
