PARK SLOPE ARTIST BOUND FOR TUSCANY HILLS
Park Slope Courier Jan 17, 2005
Park Slope Artist Josse Ford has been selected by an international jury to participate in the 2005 Niennale in Florence Italy which will take place in December 2005. The Florence Biennale, now in its 5th generation, is recognized as the world's most comprehensive exhibition of contemporary art representing over 800 artists from 72 countries
A New Zealander by birth, Ford has lived in the U.S. since 1995. Originally trained in performance art a series of dreams led her to embrace visual art as a career and she now paints regularly throughout North America and the South Pacific.
I've recently arrived in Park Slope and I'm looking forward to painting some of the landscapes in the area", said Ford. "I'm inspired by Prospect Park and also by the waterfront area in Williamsburg. The Florence Biennale is an unexpected surprise. I love Tuscany and it is a great opportunity to show my work in an international forum and spend time with other artists from around the world.
Ford will be in Park Slope until her next painting journey to Maui in February. On january 23 she will host a studio show of her current work 11am - 5pm at her location on the corner of 8th Ave and Carroll St. For information, visit www.josseford.com or call 718-360-5806
