Artist Statement:
Dornberg believes that an
artist should look for the
ELEMENTS that make art great.
These ELEMENTS include;
relationships of objects,
shapes, lines, spaces and
colors. They also include
rhythm (repetition) and
balance (essential and
complimentary). Looking for
these ELEMENTS occurs when an
artist looks at any work,
including his own. An artist
should learn by looking and at
the same time, explore and
invent. While subject matter
is important, it should remain
subservient to these ELEMENTS.
