| Your Personal Biography |
Judita Zidziunien is a well known graphic artist and book illustrator. She lives and works in Vilnius. In 2002 she graduated from Vilnius Academy of Arts, Faculty of Fine Arts, Graphics Department, where she obtained the Master’s degree. In search of her personal style Judita was regularly improving her skills at artistic plain-airs and individually, creating new forms and expositions. Her artistic career was a success not only in Lithuania but also far beyond its borders: personal and group exhibitions in Germany, Russia, Japan, France and other countries. Book cover designs by Judita are presented on the stands of the most famous Publishing Houses of Lithuania. Judita was able to express herself by using very different art techniques including etching, pastel or painting on wood. To describe them in one word: that’s elegant. Sensitive and subtle. In her works Judita tries to emphasise the aesthetic-spiritual and meditative function of art, opposing the aggressive trends in contemporary art. She is not going to imitate the traditional shapes as she is devoted to the subjective expression where the feelings, positivism and conveyance of the state of mind are essential. The spiritual intention is important to her in the true sense of the word, i.e. it is the aspiration to change the external appearances and visual phenomena into the symbols of transformation. |
