Artist Statement
Working with random selection and building off spontaneous leads
allow openness to personal symbolism reflected by change
and growth.
An idea is a point of departure and no more. As soon as you elaborate it, it becomes transformed by thought. -Pablo Picasso-
Ideas need to come out in any form without wanting it to be anything before it can take the next leap in development, collage helps me be spontaneous and then I can slow down and begin something else. something that really describes what state I am in. with this work I can't help but seek a reflex within.
