JENNIFER ANNESLEY, B.F.A., F.C.A., C.S.P.W.C.
Artist’s Statement
“Dramatic and unusual light captures my imagination, and can change an unremarkable scene into something extraordinary. The effect of light and shadow is crucial to creating drama, colour, texture, shape, and a sense of time. A background in fine arts provided me with a foundation in drawing, draftsmanship, and painting theory. While studying, I also developed a love of ...

| Your Personal Biography |
Jennifer Annesley was born in Edmonton, Alberta and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in art and design from the
University of Alberta. A full time artist since 1989, her watercolours and charcoal drawings attract corporate, private and
public collectors, are acquired and exhibited internationally, and have appeared in numerous major publications including
International Artist, Watercolor, Watercolor Artist and The Artist’s Magazine. Annesley is further recognized for her exclusive annual
one-night exhibitions, now in their 16th year, at the Fairmont Hotel Macdonald in Edmonton.
Annesley draws inspiration from travelling to explore historic architecture and remote landscapes. Through her unconventional
