| Biggest Artistic Inspiration |
My biggest artistic inspiration is the world in and around me. Nature, the earth, underground, ocean, colours, shapes, people, ancient and tribal cultures, thoughts, feelings, shadows, dreams, opposites, struggles, joy, sadness, darkness, light, vulnerabilities, strengths, the unknown and mysterious etc, etc
Also the many, many artists that are out there now and who have gone before us. |

| Why Did You Become An Artist |
When I was at High School at the age of 14 I was often bored and uninspired. One day we were asked to do a painting in Art Class....I was complaining it was a drag and couldn't think of anything to do. My art teacher promptly suggested this topic "I was crying when I walked into the rain" I stopped and thought for a moment and said "all i can see is colours and shapes"
she said "go for it" and I did! I created a large abstract painting and never looked back I was addicted to creating art from that point on, what a fantastic outlet and refuge it was, it was like finding something so exciting and fascinating, a real gift. |
