When you stand before the fine art illustration of Aaron Kai, photorealism breathes and roars in his life-like creations.
Kai’s hand-rendered artworks have astounded the famous and the infamous. So to a point of one original painting resulting in disqualification from a prestigious New York City art gallery,
for being mistaken for a photograph.
The Jersey-born artist was gifted with artistic ability since the age of three. Spending most weekends of his early years in theatre lobbies gazing at the movie posters, the artist instantly found his calling and began to...paint the movies. Utilizing mediums of oils, acrylics, and pencils, Kai’s art has since- been honored and featured with the 25th anniversary of the motion-picture “Blade Runner” and The Bette Davis Centennial birthday celebration in Hollywood -to name a few.
During his career illustrating for some of the world’s top-named designers in the New York City fashion industry, the artist created his own line of custom hand-painted garments called: Kai Artwear and was dubbed “the da Vinci of leather-jacket art” by GQ magazine. His designs have been adorned and praised by the world- renowned including: sultry recording artist Sade, and “Avatar” director James Cameron.
Aaron Kai relaxes in Los Angeles, California where he continues to hand-illustrate film, music, and entertainment art with his skilled trademark: “Life in the details.” |
