| Your Personal Biography |
I was born in 1945, in the city of Sao Paulo, in the southern region of Brazil. There I started commercial studies for an artistic profession was definitely out of reach, the 60’s decade bringing in a long military dictatorial era, and Art freedom being restricted in its expression all over the country.
Working in the commercial branches, I was lucky and enjoyed to get acquaintance with several foreign American and European communities. In 1979 I left for Zurich where I lived several years. It was a very nice time to know and learn about the rich artistic heritage of Europe. Reading about history of art became my favourite hobby.
I must mention a brief parenthesis, a few years back to my home country. The surrealistic Brazilian environment, practically speaking, strained me to come back to Europe.
Art has always appealed to me, but finally I had some time and physical place to take to painting. I started on my own and then took some classes in the art schools as Academy Maximilien de Meuron and with Robert Tilbury in Neuchâtel (Switzerland) and later on with Gerard Dubois in Lyon and Catherine Bourlet in Geneva.
My oil series on the theme of Venice shows how I admire this ancient architecture; whereas my landscapes and “washerwomen” series show my feelings about the human kind and the nature.
I’ve been exposing since 2004.
