| Your Personal Biography |
Kirsten Schneider has been all about art for as long as she can remember. Since she drew her first portrait in pencil, “Dad with beer”, at age 6, she has been painting, drawing with pastel or pencil, and designing in Illustrator & Photoshop. She's previously studied art at the Corcoran & VCU, administered art as the Production Manager of Washington FAMILY Magazine & Art Director/Web Designer at MacImpressions, served as a Vice-Chair and Secretary of the Commission on the Arts for the City of Fairfax & also was an incorporator and Treasurer for the Foundation for the Arts. She grew up outside of Detroit & in the Washington, DC area.
Kirsten is currently working with soft pastel and oils & is studying painting at the Vander Zee School of Painting under Rob Vander Zee. On the other side of the canvas, she was recently a featured model for a Corcoran Gallery photographic study on Women with Chronic Illnesses.
