Artist Statement:
I've recently began a series
of Venetian mask paintings
available in oil or acrylic on
canvas. The beauty of the
Venetian Carnival art, the
costumes and masks inspired me
to experiment with this art
form.
I still enjoy creating
abstract images using the
liquid acrylic on paper or
canvas. It's my way of
experimenting with colors,
patterns and line.
My previous works were mostly
of landscape and botanical
themes alternating between
abstract and representational.
My work is inspired by
nature’s endless arrangements
of line, color and form. I
enjoyed exploring different
ways of portraying landscapes
through creative compositions
and color combinations. The
prairie landscapes, the
California valley, and the
colorful southwest landscape
in New Mexico are some of the
locations that have inspired
my series of simplified,
colorful and flowing
compositions....

Welcome to Kerry Milligan's Portfolio.
