Artist Statement:
Kennard Matthew Posney was
born in California.
As for many nature
photographers, the interest in
producing these images grew
from an exposure to the
outdoors at an early age. A
trip to Yosemite and a hike up
Half Dome provided Posney with
an intense desire for fine art
& landscape photography.
Displaying a unique and
natural talent for artistic
composition, Posney currently
works in both black and white
and color photography.
Inspired by the work of Ansel
Adams, John Sexton and William
Neill, Posney captures the
essence of nature’s infinite
beauty on film, providing the
viewer with a unique and
personal experience.
"Majestic peaks, rugged coast
and inspiring vistas make
California one of the most
popular places to visit and
live. Our challenge is to
preserve places such as these
so our children may enjoy them
as well".
Like most photographers,
Posney wanted to share the
beauty that is out there to be
seen and experienced.
Displaying an impressive
ability to uniquely compose an
image on film, Posney's work
