Artist Statement:
Born and raised in Queens, New York, recently moved to New Jersey. I always loved doodling as a kid, but did not get more serious about drawing until high school. That is when my notebooks started filling up with doodling during class. My drawings would fill up from the back pages and meet up with my notes at the middle of the book. Growing up right outside of New York City exposed me to galleries, museums, and city life from a young age. Beginning at age 15, I felt the need to go beyond my neighborhood and explore so I started jumping on the subway to skateboard, walk, and hang out all over downtown Manhattan, enjoying all the diverse culture, art, music and creativity that was brewing there. From that point on, the city became my second home, spending the majority of my free time there, seeing bands, going to clubs, parties, etc.
My first influences came from skateboard art, graffiti art, comics and cartoons. I attended some art classes to build a foundation which I then combined with my self-taught art, to create my own unique style. I enjoy experimenting with different styles and mediums, never just settling ...

My first influences came from skateboard art, graffiti art, comics and cartoons. I attended some art classes to build a foundation which I then combined with my self-taught art, to create my own unique style. I enjoy experimenting with different styles and mediums, never just settling on one in particular, always trying to broaden my horizons. This keeps me inspired and gives me a drive towards a different goal all the time. Influences come from skateboarding, graffiti, lowbrow, urban, experimental, surreal, fantasy, pop, and abstract arts. I also get inspiration from people on the street, their moods, facial expressions, and every day experiences that keep the fresh ideas flowing in my brain. I am glad my art can connect with someone in any way, whether it be spiritual, emotional, mental, or with humor. Our daily lives are ever-changing second by second and I try to capture the different moods, emotions, and spiritual beliefs we are faced with.
