| Your Personal Biography |
About LaMarr
She was born in Columbus Ohio and lives in the country. Her love of art began early in childhood and presumed it was acquired through ancestry. Her Great Grandfather was an artist by profession and she still owns a few pieces of his work.
Although she wanted to be an artist, she was discouraged from doing so, and studied nursing as a profession. Nevertheless, from childhood to the present, she has been engaged in various kinds of art. In high school and in college she continued to take every opportunity to paint and even did set decoration as a means to fulfill her desire for art. While she obtained a B.S, degree in nursing, which is her primary profession, her love was and is art.
She minored in art during college and later studied at Marylhurst
College in Oregon to complete her degree in fine arts, but was prevented from finishing when her Husband was transfused back to
California.
Her Mother instilled in her a strong sense of values and a love of God, nature and a love for beautiful things and because their family was unable to buy those things she learned to do china painting, oil painting, acrylics, pastels, colored pencils needlework, quilling, soft and hard sculpture, fabric painting, stenciling and painting ceramics. She likes to develop new techniques and is presently experimenting with digital art.
