Artist Statement:
Creating art makes me feel as
if I am exploring the world
with my soul, not just with
the five senses. It also
allows me to communicate
visually with others on a much
deeper level than every day
communication allows. It is
my wish for my art to inspire
and give the viewer pleasure,
and also to stimulate
conversation and wonder. I
hope that others enjoy my

I am inspired to create by the world around me on a daily basis. Seeing artwork by other contemporary artists inspires me to create, as well as viewing the masters' work. Seeing the simple beauty in nature, such as a rock or a dragonfly, or in an ordinary manmade object may inspire me to take a simple idea and turn it into something extraordinary. |

The artist resides in the Dallas suburb of Rockwall, Texas. She has a BA in Art from UTPB, and is a secondary school art teacher in Mesquite, Texas. Ms. Huff paints as often as schedule permits, and loves to explore new art media and themes, and likes to include a wide spectrum of color in her work. She works primarily in mixed media, but also works in watercolor and oil paint. |
