Artist Statement:
I need to brush and scratch
this mixed subconscious onto
the clean, forgiving white of
paper. This is what I am. I
can't describe it any clearer
than that. I was certainly
not born to be a writer....

Hobbies / Interests Along with my fine art I do macramé although I haven't photographed any of my jewelry so none of it is featured here. One thing I greatly enjoy but cannot reproduce is literature. Historical fiction, mythology, and classic literature are some general favorites. Some of my biggest influences have been Siddhartha, Mists of Avalon, Faust, and several Anne Rice novels to name a few. Film is another that I greatly enjoy. I highly recommend The Fountain, Pan's Labyrinth, Lady in the Water, V for Vendetta, Mirror Mask, Waking Life, Big Fish, and Interview with the Vampire. I love theater. I can get so carried away singing along with musical soundtracks in my studio. It's silly. My favorites are Jesus Christ Superstar, Reefer Madness, and The Phantom of the Opera. Varied, yes, but each satisfy a different mood.
