Why Did You Become An Artist I became an artist because I loved art far back as I can remember My hopes and dreams were to have a career in art.

Your Personal Biography I grew on a farm near the small town of Hartsville Tn, about 30 miles from Nashville.Tn. I've been drawing and painting just about all my growing up years. After I finished high school, I took a two years illustrator art course. even though I did a lot of subjects, I was always interested in painting people. Portraits and etc. I was finally lucky to get a job in the advertising Dept. of Nashville's largest dept. store, at that time. This was in the late 50's. It was 'on the job training' I learned the basics of advertising art for publication, photo touch up etc.
the art included hard line merchandise, clothing.children and all types of Fashion art.
After a year I got a job in a small advertising agency 'Art and Display' This was really good training, at this time I also did free lance work. I still wanted to be a fashion artist,
One day a lady handed me a news paper ad for a fashion artist in Chattanooga,Tn.This was the largest Dept store at the time in Chattanooga.Tn
'Miller Bros' I loved it here, I met my husband here, we have lived here every since, I now enjoy my country life, and have a studio in my home, I have done furniture art for Cleveland Furniture mfc I do portraits'any medium, I can work from your photos.if you like also most any subject material.
