Artist Statement:
my work is a collage of impressions meant to stimulate your senses
with color and motion, real and imaginary.
melding photography with digital graphics, i create portraits of people and places.
my goal is to elicit an emotional response from the viewer; a sense of uncertain recognition of people and places they thought were uniquely theirs.
i have worked with and studied many forms of artistic expression
including drawing, painting, photography, computer graphics, poetry, fiber arts,
and hand-built ceramics.
although i continue to produce work in most of these disciplines, photo art
is the medium i am using to communicate with my audience.
my current series, lightworld, explores the boundaries of
natural and artificial light and shadow.
my works are issued only as limited edition photographs,
matted and framed.
