I remember when I was nine years old one day I saw some Cézanne paintings in one of my father’s magazine from the art collections of ISHIBASHI Shojiro (1889 - 1976), the founder of Bridgestone Corporation , I soon copied them with watercolor on papers. A love for art has ever since become my devotion. |

| Your Personal Biography |
For me my artwork is a visual tool to speak the words that cannot be spoken. Through creating metaphorical structures, figures and motion, I am able to stage the emotion of stories. These are stories of myself, stories of God’s love, humanity and mankind’s struggles. Somehow, I spent more time to look at my paintings than I actually paint them. I listen to them and eventually we come to mutual understanding, then the paintings evolved. That is the joy to be a painter. - Lihting Li Kostrzewa |
