Artist Statement:
Every time I pick up a piece
of my jewelry, it brings to
mind once again the feeling I
had of complete relaxation
while walking the beach,
hearing the rhythmic sound of
the waves breaking, the
solitude, and the anticipation
of what I would find that day.
Every time I look at sea
glass (also known as seaglass
or beach glass),I am amazed at
nature’s incredible good taste
in rectifying man's waste.
With my treasures from the sea
and nature, each piece is like
a miniature work of art that I
have been allowed to embellish
to create something even more
unique.

All my life I have been
fascinated by different art
media and have explored the
creation of art through
drawing, pottery, weaving, and
jewelry design. At the
present time, I am drawn to
the whole process of creating
one-of-a-kind wire wrapped sea
glass or sea treasure jewelry.

I wire wrap each piece of sea
glass and/or sea treasure from
the sea as its own unique
design. I love the
anticipation I feel during the
creative process, wondering
how the finished piece is
going to look, knowing that
there will never be ...

Biggest Artistic Inspiration My mom (who is an accomplished artist in her own right), and my grandfather (whose love of nature was passed onto myself. My mom instilled in me a love and appreciation for all art forms. My grandfather taught me to be observant in life. There is so much to "see" above and below eye level. I believe their influence has a significant impact on where I am now in my exploration of one-of-a-kind jewelry utilizing wire wrap and sea glass (or seaglass or beach glass) and nature's treasures at this time.

Why Did You Become An Artist Art has always been an important part of Linda Schneider’s life. Her mother, an artist, has always encouraged Linda to pursue the mediums of art that peaked her interest. Over the years Linda has explored the following: drawing, pottery, weaving, macramé, copper enameling, bead making, various crafts, and jewelry design.

A combination of two of her favorite jewelry making materials, wire wrap and sea art glass finally resulted in her unique and colorful sea glass and wire jewelry.

Your Personal Biography Jewelry design has become Linda's favorite medium. Specifically, Linda embellishes handpicked Chesapeake Bay sea glass (also known as seaglass or beach glass) and other treasures of nature. Linda makes each piece unique. She has always appreciated individuality and this technique is a perfect venue for expressing her individualism.

After years of doing wire wrapping as a hobby, Linda is offering her wire wrapped sea glass, sea treasures to the public: linje designs will gladly accept commissions.
