Artist Statement:
Liz Shewan
Sculptor and Painter
I took a Foundation Course and
studied photography at the
West Surrey College of Art and
Design (now known as the
University for Creative Arts)
in the late 1980’s. Deciding
from this point that I would
like to continue the self
taught route, I have been
selling my work worldwide
since 1999.
I have been featured regularly
in Glastonbury and the South
West for the past few years
and have had many exhibitions
in London. I am currently
planning showings in
Marlborough, Somerset and
Devon.
In my abstract work the circle
is very significant. It
represents a myriad of things.
It is an ideogram of the one,
the wholly good towards which
the human spirit aspires. It
is about totality and eternal
continuity, union as well as
containment and wholeness.
There are no divisions.
Celestial spheres. These souls
use their tails for movement,
which also correlates them to
sperm, the giver of life!
At the moment I am working on
sculptures of the sea. Please

People seek me out from all over the world to give clairvoyant psychic readings, soul energy work and hands on healing for animals and more often than not, themselves too.
I am a practising professional artist and love to depict what I call the 'alchemy of life' into my work. It really expresses my call to destiny which is best acknowledged in my ability to help others to release their 'fear base' in order to get on in life in a realistic, calm, joyful and balanced way.
Another thing I get so much fulfilment from is working with someone in memorialising their pet. The sheer love and elation they feel during the process can clearly be seen on their faces, which is a wonder to behold in my heart. It definitely adds to the healing process if their animal has sadly passed away. They are left with so much just knowing that they can still connect with their animal in a 3D or painted format. It's almost like it brings them back to life.
I started out my life in South America and I now live in the UK. I have been interested in the world of the unseen since a very early age, and have many stories to tell! I have had much contact with animals throughout my life, constantly connecting with them over the years. I have sometimes found wild animals literally come to my door in the hour of their need for help and healing. After a successful and varied career, followed by working through the 'dark night of my soul', I embarked on an extensive programme of study, training and working in areas of art, psychic awareness, energy healing, life coaching, mediumship and intuition, which is continuously ongoing. I am a qualified NLP Practitioner and have appeared on Radio and featured in newspaper articles and have been profiled as an expert in creativity by the internet's leading self-help encyclopaedia SelfGrowth. I now live in the South West of England near the sea with my wonderful dog, doing what I love the most in life.
I am fully insured with Royal & Sun Alliance for Spiritual Healing, Life Coaching (based on NLP/Counselling) and animal healing and I am a fully qualified Neuro Linguistic Programming Practitioner. |
