K. Wolfer-Cohen is a right
handed artist who uses a
unique approach to most
drawings... putting pen to
paper in a curvilinear fashion
using her left hand (which
accesses the more emotional
side of her brain) and drawing
upside-down, without a
preconceived notion as to the
drawing’s evolution nor an
idea of the end result….Her
approach is strictly intuitive
as she lays down an abstract
design of balanced shapes. She
then places the drawing right
side up, finds the image that
her subconscious mind brought
forth and proceeds to refine,
add to, and embellish the
drawing with details, using
her right hand (accessing the
more logical side of her
brain). Lucia enhances the
drawings using watercolors,
colored pencil, mixed media
and digital art or leaves it
as a pen and ink drawing.
Lucia’s art has been
influenced in large part by
her extensive international
travels and life’s
experiences. Her unusual
style and approach captures an
incredible array of uniquely
creative drawings that are a
culmination of a rare style of
art
