Artist Statement
The “process” is very important to me, as are the materials I use. Design elements, many layers of colors and metal components, create paintings rich in texture, color and depth. As an abstract artist, inspiration comes from everything including nature which may be reflected somewhere within my work. I create from an intuitive level which allows me to be spontaneous although there is always an emphasis on design and conception. Often the painting will evolve and change over time as I work the piece and become connected to it on a more intimate level. I usually work in a series consisting of three to five paintings connected to the same concept.

2007 July 3rd - July 28th,“Inspired Visions Revealed” a solo exhibition in the main gallery at the Bismarck Art Gallery Association...B.A.G.A. in Bismarck, North Dakota. Opening Reception: July 6th from 5:00-7:00. The exhibit will include 25 - 30 paintings with several new pieces created especially for this exhibition. Also a musical collaboration with Jay Bowman of Jupiter Jay Productions and poetry by Alexander Collen written especially for this event will be incorporated into the overall sensory experience.
