It started on a sun kissed
hill,
a kind of entrapment,
a forced cessation of
movement.
And that light.
My travels continue.
These paintings are the
colours and the textures of
this travelling.
My constant companions:
the red and the green,
the burnt umber unseen....

| Your Personal Biography |
I began painting after an accident in 1996 which left me unable to walk for 3 months. At that time I was living in a fairly isolated cottage half way up a hill on Paros, Greece.
My first attempts were in watercolour from a box I found in the cottage and whatever surfaces that I could scrounge up.
I graduated to acrylics and held my first exhibition in Malaysia several years later.
Thanks to the support of my partner, I have been painting full-time since 2006. |
