| Your Personal Biography |
I HAVE BEEN AN ARTIST MOST OF MY LIFE.
As a little girl I used to watch my grandmother paint and it seemed like she was having so much fun, and I knew that it was what I wanted to do. I love color and I developed my interest in Pastel in college . After the second semester of drawing I was getting board with the charcoal drawings, so I talked the teacher into letting me use pastels. By the end of the semester everyone in class was using pastels. This was a big turning point for me in my art work, I have been using pastels ever since.
I have a BA in Art studio from the University of California Sacramento and a minor in Interior design. I also have an AA degree in Ceramic Arts. I ran my own ceramic studio for 10 years, and traveled all over the US doing shows and exhibitions, eventually I had to give it up, for health reasons. But, by no means was that a step back because creating art is so much a part of who I am, no matter what medium I use.
I would like for my art work to inspire other people to use their creative abilities, what ever that may be. |
