Artist Statement:
Maia Nero is now offering
archival giclee prints titled
'Woman with a Certain
Attitude.' and 'Divisional
Symmetry' Two different
collections. Maia exhibited
and signed her art prints at
Art Expo and the
International Beauty Show at
the Jacob Javitz Center in New
York City. Giclee printing
pronounced (zhee-clay) is a
French word meaning "to
spray." Giclee prints capture
the texture, tonal values and
feeling of the original
artwork.

A graduate of the Fashion
Institute of Technology in
Textile Surface Design as well
as Advertising and
Communications she continued
to paint and sell her work
privately as well as in
galleries from Boston to New
York City area. Having earned
her degree in Textile Design
she learned to work with the
medium gouache and developed a
collection of woman's faces
she titled 'Divisional
Symmetry." flat and even color
over space divided by size,
shape and position creating
symmetry.
'Woman with a Certain
Attitude' her collection of
monoprints. Monoprinting is a
method of etching oil using a
palette knife and roller the
image is transferred from the
plate through a press creating
a textural expression. The
technique projects a woman's
spirit with a gesture of a
