Artist Statement:
Just about anything can be the inspiration for my work. Living in the moment and seeing the design possibilities in nature, architecture and other art forms provides an endless source of ideas to be interpreted.
I am a self taught artist. Since I was very young I have enjoyed working with my hands, to me there was nothing better than that next bigger box of crayons.
After 30 years in corporate jobs, I am happy to have returned to the pleasures of creating new things with new materials that present themselves.
I refer to my work as "painting with beads" and "art to wear".
As I grow in my craftsmanship and explore new materials and techniques, I continue to create diverse one of a kind pieces. I say with pride that my pieces are all created in my studio with my own hands....

| Your Personal Biography |
Just about anything can be inspiration for an artist’s work. Living in the moment and seeing the design possibilities in nature, architecture and other art forms provides an endless source of ideas to be interpreted.
I am a self-taught artist. While I've each taken classes to learn to work with specific materials; most of what I do I have developed through reading and experimenting with materials on my own.
I first worked with beads in high school, winning a prize for a beaded vest. After years away from the craft, I have returned to doing beadwork. Embellishing the beads with gem stones, pearls crystals and found objects has lead to a series of multimedia pieces as jewelry and framed art. I refer to my work as “painting with beads” or 'art to wear'.
Most every piece begins the creative process as a rough sketch. A string of beads, a single stone or a found object may suggest an idea; or the idea may come first followed by a search for the materials.
As I grow in our craftsmanship and explore new materials and techniques, I continue to create diverse one of a kind pieces. I say with pride that my pieces are all created in my studio with my own hands.
